1. Who accepts these conditions
These conditions are the agreement between Summa Investments LLC, doing business as Summa Envíos, and the personal shopper who opens an account in the portal (“the personal shopper”).
The personal shopper accepts them by clicking “Accept” on their first sign-in to the portal, and they apply to every shipment made with their account. They are in addition to the Terms of service published on this site.
2. Where our rate and insurance start and end
Summa Envíos’ rate and insurance apply from the moment we receive the box at our facility until the customer’s destination. Whatever happens to the box before we receive it is not covered.
3. Customs adjustment insurance
Adjustment insurance covers, depending on the rate chosen, values up to $300 or up to $800 (U.S. dollars). Rates that do not include adjustment insurance do not have this coverage.
If customs values the box above the contracted amount, Summa Envíos is not responsible and the customer must pay the full amount charged by customs.
4. Loss insurance
The insurance covers only the total loss of the box. It does not cover partial losses.
In a total loss, the money is refunded to the sender based on the insured value.
5. Insured value and declared value
The insured value must equal the declared value of the box.
6. Customs times
Summa Envíos does not control customs processing times. Clearance can take up to 30 business days.
7. Record of acceptance
When you click “Accept” we store the date and time, the IP address and the details of the device and browser used, together with the version of these conditions. That record may be presented as evidence if there is a claim.
8. Applicable version
The current version is the one published on this page, with its date. Each personal shopper is bound by the version they accepted until they accept a new one.
